Yeatheridge Farm epitomises your typical country picture of lush green fields, wild flowers, leafy trees, rolling hills and docile farm animals, the only missing ingredient is your caravan.

Yeatheridge is truly peaceful and relaxing but that doesn't mean it's boring. If you love the countryside, then you're in for a treat.

Hi,

You don’t say if you are a first-time camper who has nothing, or already a camper who is looking for a great source, and I am not sure what kind of camping you will be doing…primitive site backpacking? Car Camping?

If you are just starting out and don’t have a lot of gear, some stuff can always be borrowed as you begin to accumulate your own. You certainly don’t have to run out and spend hundreds of dollars at one time to equip yourself. My first time camping I borrowed a tent, bought an air mattress, borrowed a pump, and brought bedding and kitchen items from home. Over the years, most camping trips have included a trip to Wal-mart to add to my collection an item or two at a time, until I have gotten mostly everything I need…or want.

If you have time before this campout, flea markets, garage sales, Craig’s list, and the classified ads are great places to find many items. Even after you have started to collect some gear and have gone camping, you can continue your quest in these places to find gently used items on a semi-regular basis.

If you don’t have time to build up your supplies and want or need to start buying right away, Wal-mart does have a fantastic camping supply department with almost everything you can imagine, at great prices, practically a tent camper’s paradise! Target also has a great selection. Once you make a decision to buy a tent, I wouldn’t go cheap there. A quality tent, if well taken care of, will last years…ours are going on ten years and we are finally just starting to think about replacing them.

Want to buy online instead? Of course you can still do that with Wal-Mart.com and Target.com, or look for an online dealer who specializes in outdoor equipment. As mentioned by some others here, Campmor has great prices…especially for their online hot deals. You can find some incredible bargains there. While Camping World caters mainly to the RV camper, they also have a great selection of items for the tent camper, also at good prices. REI and Sierra Trading Post also cater to the camper and have great sales.

Finally, eBay is a great alternative as well for low-cost bargains…just watch your shipping costs as you are spreading your purchases around to different vendors.

Hope this helps you and that you have a great camping trip!
References :
your-camping-guidebook.com

ebay. No, seriously, there are super deals on name and store brand gear, even lower than in the stores. Watch out on the shipping though. Search ebay for:
Ozark Trail which is Wal Mart's brand
Greatland is Target
and Northwest Territory is Target's house brand.
Search for Coleman, Igloo, or by item description

If there is one nearby, check out Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse.

Just wanted to second Jewel's suggestion about acquiring a little at a time. Most places put their camping stuff on clearance in the fall to make room for hunting and winter sports stuff. Keep an eye on things like that!
References :
http://sporting-goods.listings.ebay.com/Outdoor-Sports_Camping-Hiking_W0QQfromZR4QQsacatZ16034QQsocmdZListingItemList

I dont know much about who has lowest prices but I make alot of my own outdoor gear.heres one thing you will love for camping and it wont cost you a penny. To make a surefire firestarter, first save some dryer lint, shape it so its roughly the size and shape of a dollar bill, then fold it in 4ths and cover all but one corner with candle wax....saved me a time or 2 when the weather was crappy and had trouble getting fire going.Just a little tip.
