Help! I need to find a nice camping and caravan site in north devon or cornwall for this summer 2008?

Does anyone know of any nice campsites preferably near a beach or lake with a swimming pool that takes touring caravans and dogs?? I need to find something thats isnt like Haven or Pontins though? thanx guys xxx

Cheap Camping Supplies?

I’m looking for a camping supply company thats cheap. Anybody???

Get stuff at tag sales at somebody’s house. I got a cooking set-up from one for $10. It came with a pot, 2 canisters of fuel and small utensils! I’ve used it for the past 5 years and love it! I’m sure there is all sorts of other camping things there. Or try eBay. It’s like an online tag sale Just make sure you are aware of what condition they are in. Craigslist always has people selling stuff like that too.

I need some help on ideas for decorating my camping tent?

We camp a lot in a big group. This time around we are having a curb appeal contest. We will be judged on the creativity of decorating our tents making them feel like home and we have to bring the stuff with us. We can not use things from the camp site. I just need some ideas. Keep in mind I my most available power source is batteries and propane.

Definitely bring a couple of cute dishtowels to hang up as curtains in the mesh "window", if your tent has one. (You can "sell" the idea that they are curtains by tying them back with a sash.) Also, look for the plastic lattice segments that people put around flower beds; it will look like a mini picket fence. While you’re at it, a few potted plants and flowers could go in your "yard". Make a "deck" with a few wooden boards (or vinyl imitation boards) and set out a couple of lawn chairs with a plastic table. A couple of fancy-looking drinks with paper umbrellas could brighten that table. A set of horseshoes or bocce balls will make the "lawn" look lived-in.

All of that is relatively cheap, not too heavy or bulky, and won’t need any juice from your batteries. If you want to use something battery-powered, I would get one of those camp lamps that looks like a miniature table lamp, complete with lampshade. Put it on a table inside the tent, where it can be seen through the mesh window.

i went to a place called "Leadstone camping" last year,
has large fields, plenty of space, VERY clean toilets and shower blocks, walking distance to beach, shops , pubs,
going again this year……………hmmm cant remember if it was north or south devon >.< my geography suks, anyway do a search it has a web site…………

Where is the best campground for TENT camping in Salida Colorado?

Taking a family camping trip with a tent to Salida CO. We would like to do some fishing, hiking and possibly some horseback riding.

Hecla Junction is a great area to camp near Salida. It is off the main roads and set up against the Arkansas River. The fishing there is great and so is the scenery. It is managed by Colorado State Parks, so there is a fee to stay. The tent pads are large and level. There are also pit toilets which are nice when camping with kids and ladies. If your looking for a whitewater rafting adventure check out the Bighorn Sheep Canyon section of river just downstream of Salida by an hour. It is much more exciting and far less crowded than Browns. It is also great for kids! Have Fun!

Are there any bush camping sites in Queensland or NSW that allows dogs?

Everywhere I check on the internet and in books, always list caravan parks but I am after camping sites which allows dogs, help!

You can camp anywhere in the bush with your dog except in national parks. I have made big trips to inland with my dog and camped anywhere in the bush, just drive off the main road, set up your campfire, put up your tent or roll out your swag anywhere, it’s free. If you don’t want to stay in the bush all on your own, many caravan parks do take dogs. From my experience, in most country towns, there is at least one caravan park that accepts pets. When you check on the internet, find the phone numbers to the caravan parks and ring and ask them if they accept pets. You’ll find many do.

camping supplies that fit into back pack?

i am going on a weekend camping trip with just my girlfriend and i. we want to have a real wilderness experience so we only want to include items that would fit in to a backpack with no technology stuff. also we would rather go in the woods and be alone than on a campsite is this possible in ohio state parks. so a list of only the essentials we would need that fir into a back best answer gets 10 points

Hello, i’m desperate to find set up instructions for an old camping tent?

The tent is for 4-5 people and i had bought it for Canada – Toronto . It’s made by Frikon Industries Ltd and camping Canada. The name of the tent is Riviera and it was made in Chehoslovakia at 1978. Is there anyway i can find the set up instructions (schematics) for this tent or from a similar tent because it’s very difficult for me to set up it ?
