Approach

Follow forest road 23 from either Trout Lake or Randle to forest road 2329. Follow 2329 to Killen Cr. trailhead. Take Killen Creek trail to camp area at edge of Adams Glacier about 5 miles. Gifford Pinchot forest map is very useful.

Route Description

From camp take any one of several shallow snow chutes to the crest of the N. ridge. Be alert for rockfall in these chutes. Follow the relatively broad ridge crest over easy snow slopes and several rocky bands until reaching the large summit dome. Traverse S. across the dome to the main summit.

Essential Gear

Crampons and ice axe should be taken.
